Barbara Lee Brown Girot, a devoted woman of faith, wife, mother, and grandmother entered into the presence of God surrounded by her loved ones, August 01st, 2026 at the age of 83. Barbara was born October 26th, 1942 to Leland and Elda (Thompson) Brown, in Provo Utah. She went on to marry the love of her life, Joseph Girot, June 01st, 1960, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together, they shared a beautiful life filled with endless love, laughter, and travel.
Her life was anchored by her love for God and her family. Alongside her loving husband, Joseph, she poured her heart into raising their six children: Jeff, Mark, Kenneth, Jennifer, Jason, and Danielle - instilling in them love, hard work, honesty, and keeping them well-fed on bottled deer meat.
Barbara found pure joy in simple things, whether tending to her beautiful yard and home, chasing grandkids, crocheting, learning piano, reading a book, or taking magical trips to Disneyland.Whatever she was doing you could always find her with a Coke in her hand. Her face lit up brightest when she was with her grandchildren, whether they were arm wrestling, crafting, or playing games. She spent her life creating joyful memories with them. She loved to go on adventures with her husband and bring back wonderful stories to tell.
She was the most understanding, tender-hearted, humble, gracious, and kind woman. She had a deep love for those around her. She had a big heart for teaching the kids at church, she loved them with everything she had. What joy they brought her.
Her unwavering trust in God allowed her to endure life's trials. She knew all would be made right on the other side.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Leland and Elda Brown, brother Kenneth Brown, sister Marlene Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Girot. Children: Jeff Girot, Mark (Mindy) Girot, Kenneth (Demri) Girot, Jennifer (Steven) Cloward, Jason Girot, and Danielle (Dustin) Mitchell, as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Along with her sister Debbie (Reese) Bowers.
Thank you all so much for your love, support, and prayers during this time.
