Carolynn Farnsworth Jex of Spanish Fork, Utah died peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 14, 1950 in Roosevelt, Utah to Lynn C Farnsworth and Lois Mary Herbert. She was the second oldest of seven children. She attended school and after graduating from high school in Roosevelt, she worked as a waitress, a bank teller, and office manager.
Carolynn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in different callings throughout her life. She married her eternal companion James Tuttle Jex on August 11, 1976 in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS temple. Her life was spent in loving service to others. She served for several years as a service missionary for the church.
She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and a friend. She enjoyed tying quilts, baking, doing family history, and spending time with her family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, James Jex of Spanish Fork, daughter Helayna Jex of Spanish Fork, son Jamin (Ashlee) Jex of Payson, her four grandchildren Bayden, Treyvan, Kambree, Kaysen Jex of Payson and sister Tami Farnsworth of Duchesne, Utah
She is preceded in death by her parents Lynn C and Lois Farnsworth, sister Laraine Farnsworth, brothers Rick Farnsworth, Douglas Farnsworth, Mark Farnsworth, her grandparents and close friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Spanish Peak Ward Church Building at 1552 E 750 S in Spanish Fork, Utah.
Carolynn will be laid to rest at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
