Cathy Harrison, loving wife, mom, grandma, sister, friend and confidant passed away on April 30th, 2022. She was 73. Cathy was born in Payson, Utah on February 11th 1949 to Ed and Gloria Anderson. Cathy grew up in Spanish Fork and attended Spanish Fork schools graduating from Spanish Fork High School in 1967. Later that year, on December 22nd 1967, she married her sweetheart Robert (Bob) Harrison and remained married to him until the end.

Cathy attended and graduated cosmetology school and spent her working days doing hair and later started her own business, 'Cathy's Nails', doing half the towns nails out of the shop in the back of her home. Cathy was also a published author.

She was always active in the community serving in the Spanish Fork Fire Ladies Auxiliary and also the Utah State Fire Ladies Association. She served as president of both organizations for several years and loved gathering and making quilts for patients to use at the University of Utah Burn Center. Cathy always had a place in her heart for those less fortunate and spent many years advocating for abused children at the Utah County Children's Justice Center and was presented the Child Advocate Award from the Utah County Child Abuse Council. Cathy loved spending time with friends and family at the family property in Fairview Canyon, hosting dinners, playing cribbage and sitting around the campfire.

Cathy's true calling was raising and supporting her kids, Andrea, Brian and Cody. She adored every one of her grandkids and would brag them up to whomever would listen. She loved playing games with them, taking them around town in Bob's Ford Fairlane, and showering them with gifts from the dollar store. Cathy always made sure that each of them felt special, and always made sure to put money in their bank accounts for their good grades. She enjoyed visiting family in Texas, attending ball games, school programs, dance competitions and taking kids on field trips to the petting zoo. Cathy always opened her home to all that needed it, especially grandkids and their friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Gloria Anderson; brother Ed Anderson and sister-in-law Karen Anderson.

She is survived by her husband Bob; children, Andrea (Jeff) Argyle of Perry, Ut; Brian (Karen) Harrison of Spanish Fork, Ut; Cody (Emily) Harrison of Boerne, Texas; grandkids, Sydni, Paige, Rylan, Ethan, KJ, Andrew, Quincee, and Alexis; brothers; Ted (Diane) Anderson; Richard (Debbie) Anderson Chris (Cindy) Anderson.

A small family gathering will be held at a later date, but no formal services will be held at this time as we honor Cathy's last wishes.
