Craig Cloward

Craig Monson Cloward, 67, of Moroni, Utah, passed away from heart failure on April 20, 2023, in the hills north of Moroni. Craig was born March 26, 1956, in Dragerton, Utah, to Ellis Conard (Ted) and Erma Monson Cloward. His mother died when Craig was just four years old.



Craig graduated from North Sanpete High School in 1974. He excelled in baseball, basketball and football. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the mountains. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Utah Jazz.



Craig enlisted with the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Japan and Yuma, Arizona. Later he joined the Utah National Guard and was deployed during Operation Desert Storm.



Craig married Eris Anderson in April 1997. They later divorced.



Survived by his brother Kell (Renate) Cloward, Sacramento, California; sister-in-law Kathy Cloward, Saratoga Springs, Utah; numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Preceded in death by his parents; brother Ellis Monson Cloward (infant); brother Blake Monson Cloward; and nephew Blake Curtis Cloward.



Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 20, at 1:00 pm at the Moroni City Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 107.
