Craig E. McCreary, a retired NASA engineer, living a majority of his life in Titusville, Florida, died on March 18, 2022 of natural causes in Vineyard, Utah at the age of 92.
Craig is survived by his children Mark, Laura, Elizabeth, Michael, and Matthew. He is predeceased by his wife Janet and his daughter Melissa.
Craig was born in Oak Park, Illinois on November 8, 1929 to Harold and Vera McCreary. He graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a naval officer in the Korean War, He spent 12 years as a field service engineer for Boeing, and retired from his career as an aeronautical engineer for NASA in 1996.
He and his wife Janet served a church service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Anaheim, California from 1996-1997. His talents and interests were many, but Craig spent most of his life serving others in his family and community.
A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints' chapel at 3000 South Street in Titusville, Florida on April 16th at 1 PM.
