Craig Marvin Strom

Feb 16, 1954 — May 5, 2026

Craig "Krugie, Bimmer, Marvelous Marv" Marvin Strom passed away surrounded by family on May 5th, 2026.

Craig was born on February 16th, 1954 in the Salt Lake County Hospital to his parents Wallace "Wally" Strom and Glenda Andrews. Craig was the sixth child out of seven children in his family. Growing up, he was especially close with his sisters. Craig attended Skyline High, Granite high and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1972.

Craig had a love for driving, anything from his love for BMW's to his 1966 Chevrolet C-10 short bed to semi-trucks. Craig first learned to drive a semi-truck for CR England and eventually owned his own trucking business in the early 1980's. As a young adult, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going on trips with his friends.

Craig met his soon to be wife, Susan Barney Strom on a blind date from mutual friends and married her a few years later. They were married in the McCune Mansion in Salt Lake City on September 21, 1984. The following July, they welcomed their first son, Skyler. Four years later they also welcomed their daughter, Kalei.

He was a compassionate, loving father who enjoyed spending his time with his family and showing them the fun things in life such as many family vacations, four-wheeler riding, camping and so much more. Craig had a love for Nascar as we all joined in on those Sunday races to hear him yell at who should be winning. Craig was a hard working husband and father who always put in the overtime to provide for his family.

In April of 1994, they moved to their new home in Mapleton where they still live there all these years later. He was a cement truck driver for CPC, Jack B Parsons and met many great friends along the way. As his children grew older and had a love for racing four-wheelers on their own, he drove them to and from far away races as he made the best of memories with his family.

Above anything else, he was most proud to become a Grandpa. He cherished his grandchildren, Kohen, Kaiya and Kasen more than anything. Craig was always looking to help anyone in need from providing driving directions to hands on projects and never missing out on jokes that would make anyone laugh. He had a special place in his heart for the family dogs they had throughout the years. After many years of construction jobs, he returned to driving semi-truck for Paul Terry in 2009. He spent a lot of long days on the road listening to his favorite music at the loudest level possible. He will be dearly missed for his funny moments, his loving ways to the ones closest to him and his friends in which he always enjoyed having those same ones for all these years.

Family and friends are welcome to join us in the Celebration of life planned for Sunday, June 7th at the Wayne Bartholomew Family Park, 1090 S 2900 E, Springville, Utah from noon to 3pm.
