Dennis Wilkinson

> Dennis Lee Wilkinson passed away Aug 11, 2014 at is home in Provo Utah after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born Jan 3, 1947 in Hawthorne, Nevada to Lyle V and Mary Poulson Wilkinson the 5th of 8 children. He was raised in Orem Utah and attended school in Orem. He graduated from Orem High School and attended B.Y.U.
> He enlisted in the US Army and serviced his country honorably with the 101 Airborne in Vietnam. He earned the bronze star and a purple heart along with other honors.
> Dennis continued his service to others through out his life. He was a member of the Springville Rotary Club for many years.
> Dennis met and made many life long friends through his employment. He worked several jobs in Utah County including Rocky Mountain Helicopter, The cable company, Roto - Roter, Comcast Cable and his own business Drains R Us.
> He found enjoyment in the great outdoors. Some of his adventures included Hang-gliding, boating, camping, arrowhead hunting in the west desert, atv riding, Sandy and Lincoln beach get together s, sitting be the river and a good fire with family and friends. He always had a camera or cam corder in hand to capture all the family events.
> Dennis met and married Ann Petro they divorced.
> He is survived by his daughter Annette (Richard) Smith step sons Jimmy Petro, David Perto, Marty (Brenda) Petro, Mike (Monica) Petro and Mark (Pam) Petro. Grandchildren and great grandchildren. His best friend Jill Refiner. Brothers John (Barbara) Wilkinson, Alan Wilkinson. sisters Cinnie (Joe Preston) Zufelt, Lori (Bill) Tilton, Tami Johnson. Sister in laws Sharon (Doug) Bair, LeOra Wilkinson
> Proceeded in death by his Parents brothers Lyle "Sherman" Wilkinson, Frank J Wilkinson
> The family would like to thank the Springville Rotary for helping Dennis in fulfilling his bucket list with a trip to Oklahoma to see the Men he served in Vietnam with.
> The family would also like to Thank Encompass Hospice for the tender and caring staff who not only tended to Sennis but all of our family during this trying time of need.
> Services will be held on Monday Aug 18, 2014 at Legacy Mortuary 3595 n Main Spanish Fork Utah from 5pm -7pm Graveside services will be Tuesday Aug 19, 2014 at Camp Williams at 10:00 am
> Any who would like to support the Rotary Club on Sunday Aug 17, 2014 they are hosting their Annual Day in the Park up Hobble Creek Canyon.
