Duane Ray Thompson Jr

Duane Ray Thompson Jr., who many knew simply as DJ, passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 28 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born on July 22, 1997, DJ was a laid-back person who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Whether it was going on long drives, spending time with family, listening to music, or casting a line out to fish whenever he had the chance.

DJ is survived by his wife, Kaisha Thompson, and his stepson, Kamdon. He is also survived by his father, Duane Ray Thompson Sr. his brother, Weston and his sisters, Aubree, Kylee, and Camisha. Amongst his step siblings, He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Shanda J. Swafford, and his grandmother, Vicki Thompson, who now welcome him with open arms.

Cremation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025. His ashes will be entrusted to Kaisha, who will lovingly distribute them to his loved ones in accordance with his wishes.

DJ was an amazing person—kind, funny, and full of love. He leaves behind cherished memories and a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be truly missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
