Freda May Norton Ragan
Our precious mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on July 23, 2017.
She was born on September 6, 1937 to Alfred and Ester (Jacobs) Norton. She was the youngest child of four children, brothers Harold Norton, Gerald Norton and her sister Betty Johnson. She is the mother to one son Boyd E. Russell whom she loved and adored very much.
Freda married the love of her life DuWayne D. Ragan on Aug 19, 1967 in Las Vegas, NV. They met while DuWayne was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base. They traveled and lived in a lot of places with the military and in retirement. They had settled in Kanab, UT for several years before DuWayne's passing in Feb 2005.
Freda was a great cook and loved cooking for large groups. Everything she cooked had a special secret something in it. She loved to dance and was an active member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Association for many years.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Boyd and Karen (Bunce) Russell of Spanish Fork, four grandchildren; Kim (Brooke) Russell of Mt. Home, ID, Kelli (Cody) Olson of Spanish Fork, Colton Orr of Ogden and Cherise (Shawn) Harrison of Spanish Fork. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren and one due in Dec; Trey, Kayden, Brayden, Damion, Landon, Hannah, Cooper, Bailey, Chance and the little boy she now gets to hold before we do.
There will be a celebration of life for family and friends scheduled at a later date.
She will be greatly missed.
