JoAnn Lowe

October 3, 1951 — June 19, 2025

JoAnn Christensen Lowe, a beloved community member and beacon of love and selflessness, passed away peacefully at Utah Valley Hospital on June 19, 2025, at the age of 73. 

Born in Spanish Fork, Utah, on October 3, 1951, JoAnn’s vibrant spirit and generosity touched everyone around her. A proud graduate of Spanish Fork High School in 1969, JoAnn’s dedication to her community began early. She married her sweetheart Eddie Luzon Lowe October 3, 1969. She served as a custodian for the Nebo School District, maintaining facilities and hearts. Her commitment to work was matched by her devotion to family and friends. 

JoAnn, the loving matriarch of a close-knit family, is survived by her children, Eddy Lynn Lowe, Janell Lowe Churchill (Jeremy) and Kristen N Lowe, as well as her siblings Larry Christensen (Nedra), Keith Christensen, Kent Christensen (Karen) and Vivian Christensen. Her sister in law Diane Brandon Christensen (Richard). They are also joined by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, who carry on her legacy of kindness. 

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Keith J. Christensen and Nida Earley Christensen, her father-in-law, John Powell Lowe, her mother-in-law, Vera May Johnson Lowe, her husband, Eddie Luzon Lowe, and her brother, Richard Christensen (Diane). Despite having passed away before her, their shared love continues to guide the family.

In her leisure, JoAnn was an avid bowler and enjoyed softball, bringing enthusiasm and team spirit to every activity. Her competitive nature was matched by her graciousness. She loved her family, friends and music. Those who knew JoAnn will remember her as the epitome of love, selflessness, and generosity. Her unwavering support and warm smile created a valued and loved atmosphere. JoAnn’s ability to listen and help defined her character and left an indelible mark on her community.We celebrate the life and generous spirit of JoAnn Christensen Lowe. Her legacy of love and service will inspire future generations. Her memory will be cherished in stories passed down through time.JoAnn’s presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her. As we reflect on the joy and kindness she brought into our lives, we take solace in knowing that her journey was full of purpose and that she now rests in peace.

There will be a graveside service to honor her memory on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Springville Evergreen Cemetery located at 1997 S. 400 E. Springville, Utah. This will be followed by a luncheon at 11:30 A.M. at Hobble Creek Events Center at Hobble Creek golf course,  94 Hobble Creek Canyon Road, Springville Utah.
