John Frederick Walter, 79, left this earthly life peacefully at home on April 12, 2022.
John was born April 26, 1942 to Harry and Viola Covert Walter in Los Angeles, California. After high school graduation he joined the Marines from 1960-1964.
In 2011, John married Arlene and lived in and enjoyed the Daybreak area.
His work spanned from being an iron worker and later retired as a Senior Project manager at SME Steel. John was an avid hiker and hiked to the top of all Wasatch Mountain peaks several times. He enjoyed biking and being outdoors.
John was preceded in death by his son, Tom, and both his parents. He is survived by his brother, George Walter, his caring wife, Arlene, and their family: Tammy, Tim, Billy, Robert (Karen), Tara (Bob), Mathew (Lu), Bryan (Shaleen), Camille (Nick), 25 grandkids and 7 great grandkids.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 am in Springville at the Spring Creek Mortuary. Burial services will follow at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
