Jordan Kimball Fisher tragically chose to end his journey on earth on November 23, 2024. He was born November 28, 1989 and grew up in Orem, Utah. He was a spunky, wild child who loved to roam the neighborhood and his backyard and chase after any animal he could find. He played basketball in high school and had many late night basketball games in the front yard driveway with all the neighborhood boys.
Jordan loved birds as a young child and had cockatiels as pets. This love later grew into a passion for falconry and he went through the process of getting licensed to be a falconer. He was mentored by his dear friend, Shayne Clark. He spent 2 years as an apprentice and then moved onto a general licensed falconer for 5 years and eventually became a master falconer. Jordan had the touch. He knew how to read birds well and he knew how to train them. He really understood and mastered the craft.
Jordan also obtained quite a few peregrine falcons from the wild. After getting a permit, he would find a nest up on a cliff and repel down into it and take a chick. His favorite and most loyal bird, Ava, imprinted on him and he eventually bred her, which is a very meticulous process. He was a bird nurturer to his core and very good at taking care of his beautiful animals.
Jordan loved an amped up car sound system and spent many years as an auto tech installer, first at Circuit City and then Best Buy. He eventually moved up to management and managed stores in American Fork, Logan, Salt Lake and Orem.
He made everyone he knew feel loved and seen. Even when he was struggling with his own immense pain, he was there whenever someone needed him. He was everyone’s best friend.
He was always up for a late night run to Taco Bell, a workout session at the gym and was especially good at sending hilarious texts that left his siblings in tears of laughter. He spent as much time as possible with his trusty sidekick, his fox red Labrador retriever, Copper. He loved his family dearly and often spoke of his admiration and gratitude for them. He loved his nieces and nephews with all his heart. They were such a light in his life and they all adored their Uncle Jojo.
We may never understand his decision to leave this earth and so many who loved him behind. He was fighting battles we knew nothing about and we are heartbroken to know that he thought the world would be better without him in it. We will carry his memory with us always and hope to keep him close by in every inside joke and recording of his infectious laughter.
He was met in heaven with open arms by his younger brother Porter, who he missed immensely and struggled with the grief of his loss for years. We are comforted to know they are together again. He is survived by his mother Susette Fisher Gourley (Richard Gourley), father Mark Fisher, older siblings Kali Poulsen (Wade Poulsen) and Cooper Fisher (Kari Fisher) and 7 sweet nieces and nephews, Miles (15), Harper (12), Graham (10), Hudson (6), Nixon (3), Hazel (3) and Olive (1).
Jordan will be laid to rest with his brother. There will be graveside services on December 14, 2024 at the Orem City Cemetery at 11:00 am, followed by a celebration of life from 12:00-2:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 408 W 1300 N, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Anyone who knew and loved Jordan is welcome to join in the graveside service and celebration of life.
