Kerry Darveau

Kerry Stephen Darveau aka "The Care Bear" "Darveau" "Gpa" "Daddy" "Papa Kerry" died on April 25, 2013 at the age of 54 at his home in Midway Utah.
Born February 27th 1958 in Salt Lake City Utah to Raymond and Alyce Darveau, both deceased. Kerry grew up with his 8 brothers and sisters who always took care of each other. He grew up to be a talented surgical technician and worked tirelessly for IHC and Rosenberg Cooley Metcalf clinic for many years. His work took him on many travels all over the world where he made many friends as he always did. Everyone who came into contact with Kerry felt his big heart and loving spirit. Kerry felt great love and support from his professional colleagues particularly, Tom Rosenberg, Vern Cooley, Lonnie Paulos and Charlie Lind. There are many co-workers whom he valued greatly and had deep friendships with, too many to name them all.
Kerry was married to Carla Rae Johnson for 24 years whom he loved very much and they had three beautiful children, Casey Rae Darveau Adams, Chelsea Ann Darveau and Stephen Edward Darveau. And with that came his son in law Seth Thomas Adams and a daughter in law Lancia Alaire Darveau.
He had a deep love for his family. His love for his children was greater than this world. We will never forget the things he gave us. His love for the outdoors spilled over into our entire lives. We spent time camping, fly-fishing, skiing, snowmobiling at the cabin and numerous road trips and Lake Powell trips. A favorite tradition became snowshoeing under the full moon. He always said we were "rich in love" and we have sure lived by that principle. There was so much unconditional love in our family. We will always be the Darveau family and it will not be the same without him. He was also completely in love with his grandchildren: Caddis Rain Adams, Pierce Thomas Adams, Teganne Rei Darveau, Lykan Bryant Darveau, Olive Alaire Darveau and adoptive grandchildren Teancum, Chynna, Sophie and Luke Buehner. Preceded in death by our sweet baby Gabe (Gabriel Stephen Darveau) Son of Stephen and Lancia.
In his spare time you would find Kerry on the river, the golf course, or on his bike.
Siblings: Mark Alan Darveau (deceased), Theresa Ann Darveau, Kevin Joseph Darveau, Rene Marie Windham (Kurt), Denise Diane Darveau Hambiln (John), Byron Reid Darveau, Arienne Ray Travis (Brent), and 11 nieces and nephews, closest to him were Brandon (Bugs), Mark and Chanse.
If you have ever been a part of the Darveau family circle, you always will be.

Kerry Darveau's Lobster Fest Memorial will be held Friday May 3, from 4:00-7:00 pm at the River's Edge Resort at Jordanelle Reservoir 7000 Old Highway 40 Heber City Utah. All friends and family are invited to join our family for this celebration in honor of his life.
