Larry Brackenbury

February 1, 1941 — October 12, 2019

Larry (Chuck) K Brackenbury was born on February 1st, 1941. He passed on October 12th, 2019 to meet His maker and guardian angels.

Dad was a Navy veteran and one of America's last true cowboys! He was a mentor of many. Dad was my partner in crime as my barrel man in the rodeo. He loved trick roping as he did the open range and the outdoors.

Never wanting to be a king, he was a jack of so many trades. A true practical joker always pulling one over on you but making you laugh until you cried.

The Denver Bronco's football team would say he was a member of team as he helped with the mascot Thunder and every team member wanted to know how my dad was. He fit in with anyone and everyone, rich or poor. Everyone wanted to hear of his adventures and stories which were from a childhood of outstanding friends and his life later on.

He was an entertainer at all times, never a dull moment with him around.

An outstanding husband to 2 women, awesome father and a one of a kind grand and great-grandfather!

He was married to Billie who passed in 2014 and later married his high school sweetheart Karen, who he leaves behind.

Father and dad to Shanee, Wesley, Kris, Marci, Dre, Quinn and Aaron.

My father lived his life with a heart of a child which I believe made him so lovable.

So dad, from all of us, thank you for all your teaching, schooling, laughter, and stories, for these are the things that we will keep in our hearts and minds forever and may we take what you have given us and pass along to our kids in memory of you!
