Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt Leigh Ann Rasmussen was welcomed home to heaven and the sun set on the second day of October 2016. Predeceased by her mother Donna Calder, father Glen Peterson, step father Sam Jensen, sister Donna Jean and eternal friend Dale Rasmussen. She was 54 years young and had fought a long hard battle with cancer.
Leigh Ann's sun rose on this earth on December 1st 1961 to shine on Glen Peterson and Donna Calder. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah where she lived out her wonderful life. Leigh Ann loved spending her time with her children and grandchildren. Leigh Ann is survived by her husband William (Hank) Silva, her four kids, Angela Montejano, Anthony Rodeback, Christopher Rasmussen, Mathew Emerson, and her six beautiful grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Donald, Lisa, Jamey, Deanna, Sam, Jeffrey, Kim, Tonya, Travis, and their children. We would also wish to thank the staff and doctors of the Huntsman Cancer Hospital for the wonderful care they provided for Leigh Ann up until her passing.
A viewing will be held on Friday October 7th, 2016 at the Pleasant Green 4th Ward LDS Church (3610 S. 8400 W. Magna, UT) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Redwood Memorial Cemetery (6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT) from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A luncheon will be held in her honor at 3:30 p.m at the Pleasant Green 4th Ward LDS Church.
