Our Beloved Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather passed away leaving his earthly body peacefully with family by his side.

Max was born May 5, 1940 to Melvin B Bennett and Elizabeth Miller Bennett. Max grew up with brothers and sisters: Gary, Melvin, Patricia, Lois, Lyn and Shelly. He married ShirLene Smith Sanderson on July 19, 1974 in Elko Nevada. Together they raised their blended children: Terry Ray Bennett (deceased) Austin Max Bennett (deceased) Tracy Ann Sanderson Reed and Justin Bryant Sanderson.

Max graduated from American Fork High School and shortly after he proudly served 4 years in the United States Navy. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He retired as a crane operator from United States Geneva Steel company. He also retired from Tooele Army & Chemical Depot and Wal-Mart.

Max enjoyed spending time with, and is survived by 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren, his sisters Lois Edwards and Lyn Wanless.

He enjoyed spending time in the canyons where he hunted and fished. Max also loved spending many years at his cabin with family and many friends, also his two companion dogs Phoebe and Buddy.

Max left a lasting impact and many memories with all who knew and loved him. While we mourn his loss, we find comfort in knowing he is now with his two sons, mother and father. He is out of pain and in the loving embrace of his Savior. Rest in peace, we love you.
