In Remembrance of a life well lived.
Owen Gene Christianson known to many as Chris & Chico has moved
on to his next phase of life on July 29th, 2023.
Owen was born on 01/18/1944 in Provo, Utah to Woodrow Owen Christianson & Alice Alberta Wright Christianson. He had 3 brothers, Kevin, Lane and John and 1 sister, Alice. He served for 23 years in the Arizona National Guard and had many hobbies such as motorcycles, restoring and modifying automobiles, race cars, hunting and was an avid reader, especially Louis L' Amour and Craig Johnson. He recently had an interest in researching gunsmithing. His favorite color was black and chrome, like any motorcycle rider.
Known and loved by many as Dad, he always welcomed any opportunity to teach
and share stories with friends and family. All who knew him enjoyed hearing the
tales of his childhood and the silly adventures he participated in. We all heard his
wisdom and advice on anything from gunsmithing to truck driving and helping us
with our cars. There was never a dull moment with Dad around.
Dad was a member f the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints devoted family man and did a masterful job of being the father figure for
a blended family. Along with his wife Tressa they raised 8 children and he cared
deeply for all of them and their spouses. They are blessed to have 18 grandchildren
and 10 great-grandchildren with two more due.
As a family we will all greatly miss him and his wonderful presence but we are
grateful that he has gained his heavenly form, is now free from pain and his physical
bonds. We are comforted in knowing Dad is now able to see those who have gone
before him. We all look forward to seeing him again someday.
Preceded in death by his parents and his sister Alice Eileen Christianson.
