Pamela Jean Gurr Johnson, age 62, of Elk Ridge passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 20, 2017.
She was born May 4, 1954 to Wayne and Maurine Gurr. She graduated from Springville High, the class of '72. Shortly after graduation, she married the love of her life, Russell Dean Johnson. They have been happily married for 44 years and were blessed with four beautiful children, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She spent many years working as a food service manager. She enjoyed working with the public, and made many great friends. One of Pam's greatest joys was her children and grand kids coming over each spring to help plant her flower garden. She loved flowers, one of her favorites is a Gerber Daisy. She also enjoyed spending Saturday nights with her family where they cooked dinner, played games and her grand kids would perform skits for her. We all know that one of Pam's favorite things to do was shop. She always had a great sense of style that everyone adored. She had many health struggles and their children want to thank their father for taking such great care of her. She loved you dad.
She is survived by her husband Russell, children Jamie (Kevork) Bekearian of Pleasant Grove, Jennifer (Merlin) Johnson of Spanish Fork, Erick Johnson and Natalie Johnson both of Elk Ridge, grandchildren Brady (Lindsey) Mitchell, Gentrie (Weston) Christensen, Riley Foster, Taylor Johnson, Hayden Johnson, Sophie Bekearian and Sadie Bekearian, great grandchildren Bowdey Chirstensen, Mila Mitchell and Averie Christensen, mother Maurine Gurr, siblings Diana (Rodger) Marshall, Kevin (Joan) Gurr, Kelly Gurr and mother in law Faye Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her father Wayne Gurr, sister Brenda Marshall, father in law Fred Johnson and her grandparents.
The Johnson Family would like the express their gratitude to the Pleasant Grove and Orem first responders and all of the staff at American Fork Hospital and UVMRC.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Spanish Fork 5th Ward, 1006 East 200 South, Spanish Fork, UT. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, April 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home, 3595 N. Main Street, Spanish Fork and on Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be at the Salem City Cemetery.
