Robert Payne

Robert (Bob) Jay Payne, passed away with his wife, daughter/son-in-law, by his side on December 24, 2016 after a long illness. He was finally ready to "go home" to reunite with those whom he loved so dearly.



He was a "Man of Steel" with a strong will and a strong body. He worked as a metal fabricator and welder.



First and foremost Robert loved his children and his family dearly. He was always concerned about their welfare and their happiness and thought of them continually.



Robert had a passion for gardening and trees, and grew many from tiny starts. He had an impressive knowledge of plants and herbs and what he didn't know he wanted to learn. He always wanted to grow things regardless of the time of year. He also enjoyed fishing and loved books.



Robert is proceeded in death by his father; Ernest. Brothers; Kenny and Ernie. His uncles; Bill and Ferrell. And his infant Grandson.



He is survived by his loving wife Shirley. His children and their spouses; Nicholas Payne, Melanie (Mike) Haxby, Travis (Crystal) Payne, Joshua Payne, Daniel (Rachael) Payne, Sarah Payne, John Payne, Ryan (Shenina) Wiley, John Paul, Jessey Payne. His 8 grandchildren; Kayden, Dakota, Alexzander, Stryder, EmmaGene, TJ, Wyatt, Riley, and 2 new grand babies due. His mother; Elsie. Brother; Blain. Sister; Laura. His two maternal aunts; Louise "Weiss" and Rosie. Cousins; Jane and Dorothy. Nieces; Andrea, Brandi, Briana, Cassie and Bailey. All of whom, he loved dearly.
