Shannon Kate Averett, age 47, returned to her heavenly home on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at her home in Spanish Fork.
Shannon was born May 30, 1972 in Provo, Utah to Gary Allen and Diane Watts Averett. She was a 1990 graduate of Spanish Fork High School. She married Shawn Michael Mahaffey and had two daughters, Brooklin Kate Mahaffey and Breea Amanda Snelson. Later, she married Jason Talcott and together they had a son, Tage Allen Talcott.
During her life, Shannon enjoyed simple pleasures such as chatting with friends and family with a Coke-a-Cola in her hand, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, nephew and nieces.
She is survived by her father Gary Allen Averett, mother Diane Watts Averett, brother Tyler Watts (Crystal) Averett, sister Amanda (Rhett) Stone, Daughter Brooklin (Steven Gull) Mahaffey, Daughter Breea Amanda (Lance) Snelson, son Tage Allen Talcott, and grandchildren Greyson, Remington, and Colter.
Shannon is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Gary W. and Ione Johnson Averett, maternal grandparents R.L. and Bernice Watts and nephew Triston Tyler Averett.
Shannon is now at peace, she will be deeply missed by all. We will always cherish the good memories and times that we spent together.

Family, friends, and others who knew and loved Shannon are invited to attend a viewing held Saturday, June 8th, 2019 at the LDS church located at 2188 East 100 South, Spanish Fork from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Following the viewing will be a service to honor Shannon's life at 12:00 p.m.
