Virgil Allred

February 4, 1930 — November 16, 2013

Virgil Udell Allred, lovingly known as Dell, passed away at his home on November 16th, 2013 after a valiant battle with cancer. Dell was born on February 4, 1930 to Charles Ralph and Belva Burgess Allred in Altonah, Utah. He graduated from Altonah High and attended a few semesters of college at Utah State University.

Dell married Glenna Maxfield in 1950 and together they had 2 children, Randall Udell and Gay Fawn. They were later divorced and in 1997 he married Lillian Dillworth.

Dell was one of the hardest workers there ever was. He worked in the oil fields, for the Forest Service, Geneva Steel, and Alpine School District. He was an avid outdoorsman and horseman and shared these passions with his family. He loved hunting, horse racing, reading, and having coffee with the boys.

He is surved by his wife, Lillian Allred, children Randy Allred and Gay Fawn (Lynn) Mikesell, his 3 granddaughters Melanie, Jessica, and Kristin, and 4 great grandchildren, his brother Rex, and sisters Phyllis and Ruth. He was preceeded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Chuck and Kenneth.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 22nd at Lindon City Cemetery at 12:30 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend the services.

Dad, grandpa, we love and miss you already. We are grateful for the many lessons you taught us and for the love and support you always gave. The family would like to thank Dignity Home Health and Hospice for the loving care they provided.
