Virginia Carolyn Bridges, age 95, died early morning on January 19th 2022, in her Spanish Fork Utah residence, of natural causes.

Virginia was born October 11, 1926 in South Lee, Massachusetts to Theodore and Dorothy Lockenwitz. Virginia was the 4th of 11 children. When she was 14, Virginia left home and moved to Agawam, where she graduated High School in 1944.

Virginia had two daughters, Jo-Ann and Patricia, with her first husband. Her second husband, Edwin Jordan, was in the Air Force, and his job moved them to different places, including France. Edwin eventually adopted Virginia's daughters as his own. After working for 37 years with the U.S. Department of Defense, she retired in Long Beach CA. During this time, she was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was later baptized in The Church. She always loved having the missionaries over, and has very fond memories of them.

Virginia loved to make things. She loved to bake pies and make bread pudding, among other things. Virginia also loved to knit and crochet, and she made numerous, beautiful items that she would give to people as gifts or keep for herself to enjoy. Anyone who received these gifts treasured them because of the amount of effort and care that went into making them. She was an independent woman, and she took pride in her ability to provide for her family on her own, when needed. She liked to do everything for herself, and she was a determined woman at times, but she is, and always will be, family.

Virginia is survived by her sister, Lois Brogan, her two daughters, Jo-Ann Edlefsen (husband Steve) and Patricia Cannon (husband Mike), her 9 grandchildren, and her 10 great-grandchildren.
