Virginia King

Virginia Spencer King, born August 16, 1936 to Kline and Leona Boyce Spencer at Escalante Utah, was sorrowfully relinquished May 29, 2015 at 11:40 pm at her home in Orem, Utah from her family's loving arms into the embraces of those who have entered immortality and the bosom of our loving and everlasting Father.



She is survived by her husband, William Dean King; her sons, Spencer William (Laura) and Joseph Dean; her daughters, Virginia Lynne King, Laura Lee King (Dave) Gilson, Jennifer King (Mike) Barton, Rebecca King (Arto) Pihlajisto, Letty Malinda King (Sean) Minniear, and Elizabeth Louisa King (Rob) Bradley; her siblings, Elva Spencer (Stephen) King, Barbara Spencer Pearson, Arlene Spencer (Lin) Pearson, Mark Boyce Spencer (Renee) and Carol Ann Spencer (Neal) Hocker; and 27 grand and 11+ great grandchildren.



She reunites with her son, Matthew Alfred King, her brother, Lamon, her father and mother, in-laws and numerous friends.



Virginia received her elementary education in Escalante, Utah and her secondary education at Provo, Utah. She also extended her education at BYU. Her artistic ability was phenomenal, exceeded only by her personality.



Virginia was and is a living, loving Latter-day Saint. Her twinkling Escalante sky blue eyes and her golden smile will forever be in the minds of those who know her. She served a stake mission during her youth and as a site missionary at the Nauvoo, Illinois Mission. Her many and ready services were and are graciously rendered and received.



The viewings and funeral services will occur at the LDS Church, 80 South 280 East in Orem; Viewings will be Thursday June 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, and Friday, June 5th from 9:30 to 10:45 am with funeral services following at 11:00 am. Interment will occur at the Orem City Cemetery
